Back by popular demand, the Village of Florida will have its second village-wide garage sale! On Sat., Apr. 18 and Sun., Apr. 19, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., this is your opportunity to do a little spring cleaning while making a few bucks too. The more residents who participate will attract a larger crowd of buyers. For more information please contact Village hall.
This Sat., Mar., 7 the Village of Florida Public Library will host another Lego building day from 2 to 3:30 p.m.. This month’s challenge is to create your own fort or castle. Afterwards your creation will be displayed in the library, for more information go to http://www.floridapubliclibrary.org. This is a great family activity, I hope you can attend.
By request of the DPW I ask that everyone please be aware that all wipes which include baby, makeup and cleansing should not be flushed down the toilet. Even though some brands claim to be flushable, they are very detrimental to our sewer system and treatment facility. In large numbers they cause blockages and jam our machinery causing quite a mess and costly repairs. Please throw them in the garbage so that this problem can be stopped.
