Story by Janmarie Foschini
Three sisters took their vision of opening a food establishment and made it a reality. Fer Perez and Rosa and Jessica Godinez recently opened Kozy Kitchen Comfort Food, located at 1155 Route 17A in the Minturn Food Truck Park.
Upon entering the Kozy Kitchen one immediately senses a cozy, comfortable vibe. The sisters are welcoming with warm smiles while busy behind the counter creating a variety of dishes.
“We wanted a home feeling, a mom and pop type shop, with a personal friendly environment. Being part of the Greenwood Lake community has been a wonderful experience. Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming and everyone is always coming together to help one another,” the sisters agreed.
The breakfast menu includes: meat lovers’ burritos, the bomb burrito, create your own wrap, bacon, eggs, pastries, coffee and more.
Lunch favorites are wraps, club sandwiches, a kid friendly menu, along with gluten free and carbohydrate friendly options. The venue also serves empanadas, tamales, quesadillas, and daily specials.
Customers can call ahead for quick pick up or order at the convenient drive thru. The restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and offers indoor and outdoor seating.
