The tradition continues when the Warwick Historical Society hosts its popular Tavern Night at Baird’s Tavern, located at 103 Main St., in Warwick on Thurs., Mar. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Enjoy an evening of wine, beer, and light appetizers in the historic building where Gen. George Washington is noted to have enjoyed a pint of grog on route to his men in Newburgh, NY. This fundraiser will benefit the Warwick Historical Society and its mission of preserving and celebrating the history of the Town of Warwick and its people.
Tavern Night tickets are $45 for Society members, and $55 for non-members and at the door. Reservations are recommended by calling 986-3236 or stopping by Society headquarters at the A.W. Buckbee Center, located at 2 Colonial Ave., in Warwick.
