Warwick Valley High School is proud to select senior Michael Moore as this weeks’ Bill Garcia Allstate Student–Athlete of the Week. Michael has played varsity football and is a five-year track athlete for indoor and outdoor track. He recently won the division title in the long jump with a jump of 20’6”. He is a member of the indoor track 4×400 meter relay team that won the 2020 County title at West Point last weekend.
Michael is a top student and carries a weighted academic average of 98.7. He takes a challenging course load that includes advanced placement courses for college credit in Psychology, Biology, Literature and Government. He is enrolled in the SUNY-Orange Calculus course. He is a member of the National Honor Society and is an Eagle Scout. Michael received a Presidential Scholar Nominee and earned a perfect score of 1600 on the SAT exam.
Michael’s plans include medical school and he is pursuing the Ivy League for his undergraduate studies. He is the son of Melvin and Helen Moore, of Warwick.
