The Greenwood Lake Chamber of Commerce is busy getting ready for their second annual Winter Carnival. This year’s event is going to be bigger than last year and filled with non-stop fun and entertainment.
The two-day, free event will take place on Sat., Feb. 15 and Sun., Feb. 16 at the Thomas P. Morahan Waterfront Park, located at 7 Windermere Ave., beginning at 10 a.m.
The weekend is going to be jam packed with indoor and outdoor activities and contests for children of all ages and adults, including crafts, pony rides, a petting zoo and horse drawn carriage rides. Ice events and snow tubing will be held, weather permitting, and the GWL Skate Park is hosting the Polar Plunge on Sunday at 4 p.m. Vendors will be on site both in the main tent and outdoors selling crafts, food and beverages, including cake pops, s’mores, pickles, BBQ food and much more. Live entertainment will be provided both days.
Free shuttle service will be available both days to and from the event, and parking is available throughout the Village in designated areas.
