The Warwick Fire Department (WFD) reports that for the week ending on Sun., Jan. 12, the WFD has responded to 12 calls for service to date.
Over the past week the WFD has responded to multiple calls for service to our community. We ask our community to follow some safety tips. With the possibility of upcoming inclement weather get ready early for the storm, and do not go out on the roads unless it’s an emergency.
On Mon., Jan. 6, WFD Engine Companies participated in a joint Engine Company Operational Drill at Warwick Station 4 on John Hicks Drive.
On Tues., Jan. 7, all four WFD Companies held their regularly scheduled monthly meetings at their respective Fire Stations.
On Thurs., Jan. 9, the WFD Fire Police held their regularly scheduled monthly meeting at Warwick FD Station 2.
On Thurs., Jan. 9, the WFD Extrications Team held their regularly scheduled monthly drill at Warwick Station 3.
Warwick Fire Prevention Report
The Warwick Fire Prevention team asks that residents please remember to change the batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Also remember to have homes checked, including boilers, water heaters and chimneys. Remember to always be Warwick Fire Safe! Bowling Fundraiser
WFD is hosting a Bowling with the Bravest fundraiser on Sat., Jan. 25. Doors open at 4 p.m. and bowling begins at 5 p.m. The cost is $35 per person. To order tickets, visit the WFD Facebook page.
