This was the first time I remember not being here in Warwick for Christmas. While I would not have missed a special wedding for my niece it did feel like something was just missing. It was on our way back when we began our drive down into our magical valley that all seemed right in the world, and a peaceful feeling settled in once again. It is easy with our busy lives to take this place for granted sometimes which makes it so important to stop and soak it in whenever you can. On behalf of the Town Board we wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
Our recycling hauler, County Waste, will be closed on New Year’s Day. If your recycling falls on Wed., Jan. 1, recycling will be delayed one day for not only the actual holiday but for the remaining days of the week. County Waste will resume the regular recycling pick up schedule the week of Jan. 6.
Town Residents may bring their discarded Christmas trees next to the mulch pile, across from the Dial-A-Bus building on Public Works Dr., Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until January 31.
Brenda Faulls, Receiver of Taxes will be accepting online payments for the 2020 Orange County Town and County Real Property Tax Bills. There is a convenience fee that will be applied to this service and paid by the taxpayer to the payment processor. These fees are not included in the tax dollars paid to the collector. The fees are as follows:
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Credit Cards: 2.45% of the total tax, due at time of payment
Visa Debit Card: $3.95
ACE (E-Check) Electronic Check: $1.75

Tax collection hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday in January and 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Friday during February and March, 2020.
The reorganization meeting of the Town Board will be held on Thurs., Jan. 2 at 9 a.m. in the Warwick Town Hall, 132 Kings Hwy., Warwick.
The next regular meeting of the Town Board will be held on Thurs., Jan. 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Warwick Town Hall, 132 Kings Highway, Warwick.
