Editor,
On February 11, 1903, the Warwick Valley Dispatch wrote an article about a home in Monroe, NY that it defined as a “Stately Mansion.” This historical home structure dates back to one of Warwick’s greatest builders. It was the Warwick family known as the Welsh Brothers that made this structure what it is nearly 116 years ago. Today the home is known as Rest Haven.
Rest Haven would like to take this moment to introduce another man from Warwick that has greatly contributed to the rise of Rest Haven this past weekend. His name is Tony Cosimano. Tony is the man that made the landing of a helicopter happen on Dec. 7 in the Village of Monroe at Smith Cove Park with Santa and Mrs. Claus on board.
To this end, 116 years later almost to the day another fine resident of Warwick has contributed to preserving Rest Haven’s history. Thank you sir for all you have done.
