Horse Named After Lt. Col. Jaimie Leonard Wins Race

     A horse, Lt. Col. JE Leonard, which was named after Lieutenant Colonel Jaimie Leonard won its first race on Thurs., Dec. 12 at Pompano Park in Florida. Leonard, who grew up in Warwick & graduated from Warwick H.S. in 1992, was killed in combat on June 8, 2013 in Sharana, Afghanistan. The horse is owned by Steven Sitkoff & Alice Allen. Allen said she named the horse after the Lt. Col. so that she will never be forgotten.
