Voters Re-elect Incumbents into Office

      Voters headed to the polls for early voting and on Election Day on Tues., Nov. 5 and re-elected incumbents into office in the Town of Warwick. Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton who ran unopposed for another four-year was re-elected with 4,423 votes.

Town Council

      In the race for Town Council, incumbents James Gerstner with 3,272 votes and Russell Kowal who received 3,080 were re-elected to the two available seats on the Council.  Challengers Patricia McMillan received 2,647 votes and Corey Bachman received 2,629 votes.

Town Justice

      Incumbent Nancy DeAngelo was re-elected to serve a four-year term as Warwick Town Justice with 3,128 votes while her opponent Christine Stage received 2,936.

State Supreme & Surrogate Court Justice

      Four judges were elected to State Supreme Court Justice in the Ninth Judicial District. They are: Steven Milligram (45,485), Gina Capone (45,267), Lewis Lubell (44,361), and Robert Freehill (30,296). Nancy Quinn Koba who did not get elected received 20,990.

      For Surrogate Court Judge Timothy McElduff was elected with 28,178 votes, while his opponent M. Justin Rider received 23,349 votes.
