The Village of Monroe will be getting a visit from Santa Claus, who will be arriving by helicopter on Sat., Dec. 7 into Smith Clove Park, located at 133 Spring St., Monroe at 10:30 a.m.
Prior to landing in the park, children can gather at Rest Haven, located at 236 High St. in Monroe, to watch the helicopter with Santa hover over the property.
After the landing in the park, Santa will be greeted by Monroe Police Department, the Monroe Fire Department, and the Monroe Ambulance Corps, but notably the Mombasha Fire Department will use their restored 1925 fire truck to escort Santa and Mrs. Claus to Rest Haven to greet children from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Music will be provided by students from the Monroe-Woodbury School District.
